Tips for a troop patch that kids actually want to trade
- Keep it under 4 inches. Smaller patches fit sashes and uniform sleeves and are easier to trade.
- Use bold outlines and big text. Fine detail disappears at patch size.
- Put the year and event name on it. Dated patches become keepsakes.
- Pick the backing for the job. Sew-on lasts longest on uniforms. Iron-on is quickest for camp shirts and bags.
